The sub division of larger premises to create smaller serviced units that are more commercially viable, making better use of space for the owner occupier are within the remit of our company. Having carried out this type of work previously we are aware of the elements that Building Regulations impact upon and will work with the client to create an environment that makes best use of available space in order to improve working environment, function and output.
Discussion with the local planning department prior to planning building works are essential to asses the feasibility of a change of use. BHBC have successfully completed works that radically change the function of the property., returning dwellings back to homes after they have been used as offices and/or shops. Some larger private properties can be converted into commercial enterprises such as nurseries requiring that guidelines are followed and adhered to in readiness for inspector approval. We have also undertaken extensive refurbishment works on single unit retail premises generating greater customer appeal.
